ROUND 4 (catch up fixture)
The Central Coast Rugby Union season continues this coming Saturday. The catch-up contest between Avoca Beach and Terrigal will be played. This match was postponed from last Saturday.
The Match of the Day will see Terrigal travelling to Heazlett Park to take on Avoca Beach in what is always such a highlight match on the Central Coast Rugby calendar. These two teams are playing some great rugby, and both teams had pleasing victories last round. Terrigal is currently undefeated and really are taking all before them so far this season. All three wins for them have been quite considerable so they are definitely in some great form this season. Avoca Beach had a good win over Gosford two weeks ago and have been playing some pleasing rugby. They had the loss against Lake Macquarie prior to that but their victory against Gosford shows they have returned to their match winning ways. Avoca Beach is always so strong at home. Avoca Beach are the reigning Premiers and they know a win against Terrigal on Saturday will show they can maintain that Premiership standing again this year. The Challenge Shield is up for grabs as well this Saturday so there is so much to play for. These two teams are ranked near the top of the competition ladder so the victor this Saturday will go right to the very top. It all makes for an enthralling game of rugby on Saturday in this local seaside derby.
Saturday also sees the continuance of the Central Coast Women’s 12’s competition. There are three matches from Round 4 this coming Saturday – Terrigal meet Avoca Beach in what is always an exciting contest, Lake Macquarie meet Warnervale, and the Razorbacks play Woy Woy.
In President’s Cup, The Bay plays the Razorbacks on Friday night, and Avoca Beach plays Terrigal, and The Bay meets The Lakes, on the Saturday.
